Depeche Mode’s lead singer “David Gahan” was taken to the hospital after just 2 days before his concert out in Istanbul, Turkey. The electro legends Depeche Mode were due to perform in Istanbul, Turkey on Thursday.
“David Gahan” was 47 years old with a suspected illness of gastroenteritis. 12th May Greece concert of Depeche Mode was canceled due to the illness of lead singer “David Gahan”. He apparently fell ill and was rushed to the hospital. The organizer of the concert at Terra Vibe Park in Greece told the 20,000 audience that David Gahan fell ill while he was in his dressing room and was rushed to the hospital we apologize for the cancelation of the concert.
According to the organizers David Gahan may have experienced “gastroenteritis” and most likely perform tomorrow if his state of health improved.
Depeche Mode with David Gaham began performing in the early 80s. It was predicted after Vince Clark left the band that the group may not have any future, but Depeche Mode gathered them self and became one of the biggest musical bands of Britain and of the decade. They got huge appreciation in America and Derrick May and Juan Atkins was among the early Detroit producers who were influenced by the band greatly. “Sounds of the Universe” is the name of their comeback album. This is Depeche Mode first album in four years.
It is not known that Depeche Mode will be able to continue their tour with or without David Gaham but the band has confirmed some concerts dates in U.K later in the year, and these are supposed to be unchanged by the latest event of David Gaham’s illness.
