Diane Schuler

Diane Schuler was a thirty-six year old mom who was killed in a car accident in October 2009.She was driving on the Taconic Parkway, when she crashed into two other vehicles while driving in the wrong direction. It was reported that Diane Schuler was driving a Ford Windstar minivan. She was along with her daughter, 3 nieces and 3 more passengers in the car.

This was the one of the biggest car accidents in history. After investigation the police reported that she was driving while being drunk. Her husband wasn’t ready to agree that she was drunk which caused this terrible accident. The Winchester County medical examiner said that the thirty-six year old driver was having 6 gm of intoxicant in her stomach which wasn’t digested yet. The examiner also reported that he found traces of marijuana in her blood. She was smoking marijuana before she had a collision. Her relatives said that she used to drink to a great extent. The autopsy report showed that she didn’t used to drink. She used to smoke marijuana as a remedy to insomnia.

The passengers with Diane Schuler also became the victim of her irresponsible act. An act was passes which would make it a crime to drive with children in car if intoxicated. Many shows were conducted to convey the message to the general public of such insane acts. A famous law & order produced an episode which had the same story of Diane Schuler car crash.
