A family who managed to have a new home from the show “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” five years ago is in the hot waters again as they have been notified by the authorities that they will face foreclosure if they do not pay the unpaid amount. Dr. BrainWofford, who is the head of the Wofford family lives at Encinitas Calif, is battling over the house for the past two years.
Dr. Brain Wofford is the father of eight children. He clarified that there is a misconception among the people regarding the ownership process and they think that once they get the house they get the mortgage. He told that in reality it is not the case. He told that he had tried his best to get the loan rescheduled or modified and he had afforded every legal resource to sort out the problem but he couldn’t get the desired results as the lending agent has been quite unmoved and has not responded to his application.
When 10News contacted the OneWest Bank, the spokesman for the bank told that the papers rescheduling the loan will be ready within one week. But Dr. Brian Wofford has desperately told that he is seeing no progress as he has not received any written document in this context. He told that if bank delays the rescheduling process, the house will be foreclosed in two weeks.
The Wofford family is not the only family which was presented on the show to face financial crisis after the home makeover. Harper family which belonged to Atlanta also got the show’s largest home. They were given money to pay taxes of the house for 25 years. But they took loan making the house as equity and, consequently, their house was foreclosed.
