Every autumn the residents of downtown Duluth organize Duluth Fall Festival to celebrate the history of this beautiful city. The first Duluth Fall Festival was held in 1983. This festival is held every year in the last weekend of the September. This year the festival was celebrated on the 26th & 27th of September. The festival hosts and entertains thousands of visitors every year. This year too the festival was visited by thousands of gusts. The festival began with a morning parade on Saturday in which more than 400 people participate. The parade was then followed by an opening performance in the center stage. The center stage is placed at the Town Green. Entertainment then takes off at the two stages in different parts of the festival. Musical performances continued all day long to entertain the guests. There were two stages in the festival; the central stage was located at the Town Green while the other stage, the Gazebo Stage, was located in the other part of the town. The festivity could be seen in the streets of the Duluth Town where more than 300 vendors installed their booths. Arts & crafts and food were offered at the booths. The festival hosted more than 50 food booths. The food booth offered a variety of foods ranging from BBQ steaks to seafood and corndogs.
The second festive day kicked off with a 5k race on the roads of the Downtown Duluth. A religious service was also held at the Duluth First United Methodist Church. Entertainers entertained the guests for the rest of the day. The Duluth Fall Festival is a family festival which had a Kids entertainment area with rides.
