There were just seven minutes remaining in the game between Minnesota Vikings and Arizona Cardinals when E.J. Henderson broken leg event happened. Cardinals were winning with the 17 points. Vikings are seen covering each and every player of Cardinals. Cardinals player Tim Hightower in his quest to score some last minute goal and to keep up the pressure is seen running in full speed towards the right side. In fact his last minute effort set the stage for the whole incident. Minnesota Vikings were hell bent to stop any such move. In their effort to stop the formation, their safety Jamarca did something really nasty. He just ducked on the ground to block Tim Hightower. Tim definitely got obstructed an was subsequently stopped but Tim was being chased by E.J. Henderson. As Henderson tried to grab Tim from behind but Tim just jumped over Jamarca and E.J Henderson became the victim of the obstruction put up by the safety and just rolled over him. Immediately the team physio is seen attending to the player. He apparently talked with Henderson, apparently to judge the extent of the damage. Viking’s linebacker and E.J. Henderson’s brother is seen holding his hand, perhaps in an effort to help him bear the pain and discomfort.
The incident resulted in E.J. Henderson getting his leg broken. Doctors said that the player’
s femur has been broken. It is clear from the damage that E.J Henderson would not be able to play during the season. Henderson’s surgery is planned in phoenix.
