As Chelsea Clinton’s engagement with Marc Mezvinsky has been confirmed, Chelsea’s father in law, Ed Mezvinsky’s is also in the news in his own way. Ed Mezvinsky was charged for a fraud that has gained notoriety as “Nigeria Investment Scam”. He was the master mind behind the spam received in the e-mail advising people to invest some amount in order to receive large sums of money in profit. Not only that but also Mezvinski family left no stone unturned to cash the relationship of their son with Chelsea Clinton. Ed Mezvinsky started telling people that he has close relations with President Clinton and it’s safe to invest money with him. He was caught in 2002 on many charges of fraud and sentenced to some 6 years behind the bars.
Ed Mezwinski father ran a grocery store and Ed studied law but chose politics as his career. He voted in the favor of the impeachment of President Nixon. The decision to favor the impeachment won him his victory over Jim Leach in 1974.Ed tried for the seat State Attorney General but lost. His attempt to be Lieutenant Governor also went in vain.
As his fraudulent activities were discovered, he was referred to as a wave of financial crimes. Ed Mezvinsky divorced his first wife in 1974 and married Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky. They raised 11 children together, seven of whom were adopted. Marc Mezvinsky was also born to Marjorie. Ed has also served some time working for the United Nations.
