E.J. Henderson fractures his knee during the Sunday night match.
Vikings lineback E.J. Henderson receives leg injury during the match against Cardinals. E.J. Henderson was trying to tackle Cardinals runningback Tim Hightower in the fourth quarter of the match when he collided with him and his leg got brutally twisted. He went down on the ground and his knee got violently injured. He remained on the ground for several minutes. Paramedic’s staff gave him initial treatment and then he was gently wheeled off from the field through a motorized cart.
Vikings head coach told the press that E.J. Henderson remained in Phoenix whole night where he underwent a surgery. The surgery was performed on his fractured femur, revealed the head coach. E.J. Henderson is an important player for the Minnesota Vikings. Henderson holds three major career records which include total tackles per game, career solo tackles per game, and the total solo tackles of the season. Due to his brilliant performance in the football, E.J. Henderson has been honored with many awards including the 2002 Butkus Award and Chuck Bednarik Award.
The team commented about his absence. Quarterback Brett Favre of Vikings said that he felt bad for EJ and that it’s not good for him and for the team.
It has been speculated that E.J. Henderson is likely to miss the rest of the season due to his leg injury.
Minnesota Vikings was defeated by Cardinals with a gripping score of 30-17 in the Sunday night’s match. Minnesota Vikings is currently topping the National Football Conference’s North division with a record of 10-2.
