Ellen Cleghorne was born in Brooklyn, New York on 29th November, 1965. She is a comedian and actress, she is well-known for her work in Saturday Night Live from 1991 to 1995. Ellen Cleghorne started her career from New York City Comedy clubs. She was offered a minor role in the second season of “In Living Color” back in 1991 from where the producer of “Saturday Night Live” discovered her. Ellen Cleghorne joined the cast of “Saturday Night Live” in the same year and stayed on the show for four seasons.
She might have spend four seasons on the set of “Saturday Night Live” but never been comfortable with the other cast members during her time on the show. She left the show in 1995 and joined the cast of “Cleghorne!” a sitcom in her own name, which was aired just for one season on WB TV network.
After the cancellation of her own show “Cleghorne!” she has appeared in many different independent movies and comedy programs but has mostly faded from conventional entertainment. She has made brief vivid portrayal in the movies Little Nicky, Armageddon, Coyote Ugly and Old School. Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story movie was released in 2005 in which Stewie made a comment that if “Ellen Cleghorne ever found a program suitable to star in”.
