Emily Ann Stuller a 21-year-old student from Baylor University was killed in a head on crash Monday morning 29th June, 2009.
Steve Anderson spokesperson for Waco Police said that Emily Stuller a resident of Dallas was killed in the car accident instantly minutes before 8:00 A.M in the morning, when her 2004 Volkswagen drifted into oncoming traffic on the bridge over the Brazos River, near the intersection of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Lake Shore Drive.
Her car crossed the double yellow line on the Brazos River Bridge and first hit the gray Ford pickup, Cirilo Zamarripa, a 43-year-old man was driving the pickup truck. Zamarripa tried to pull his vehicle on the right side as far as he could to evade the accident, but Emily’s car struck the left side of his pickup truck and then crashed in to a Toyota Tundra. Juan Lopez, a 31-year-old was driving the Toyota.
Both Cirilo Zamarripa and Juan Lopez are the residents of Waco and both vehicles suffered heavy damages.
Emily Ann Stuller died at the scene, whereas Juan Lopez suffered injuries to his back and leg. She was taken to the Hospital by ambulance. Cirilo Zamarripa did not receive any major injuries.
Students from Emily’s University gathered in the chapel of the Stacy Riddle Forum yesterday night to pray for her.
