Police identified him as Eric Gotwols a Plumstead man, whose body was discovered at the bottom of Edison Quarry in Doylestown Pennsylvania yesterday on 28th July, 2009 around 2:20 P.M; the man was last spotted in a party which took place at a Doylestown Township house.
Bucks County Coroner Dr. Joseph Campbell said that Eric Gotwols was in the 21 year of his life at the time of his death, he was pronounced dead at the spot, he said the man took a fall at least 210ft before hitting the ground, an autopsy will be performed today on 29th July by the medical examiner to determine the cause of death.
Moreover, Dr. Joseph Campbell said that according to his knowledge the death was caused by multiple injuries, but nothing can be said for sure before receiving a toxicology tests results.
Police Lt. Dean Logan with Doylestown Township Police said Eric Gotwols after attending the party which held at a Doylestown Township house he was lastly spotted by friends at around 1:25 A.M, but when he did not showed up later in the morning on Tuesday his friends went to search him his body was found at the bottom of the Edison Quarry.
Eric Gotwols’s body was removed from the scene by Bucks Technical Rescue Task Force, while Doylestown fire and rescue members were also present at the sight.
