Erin Andrew, who was nominated the sexiest sportscaster of year 2008 and 2009 by Playboy magazine, is planning to file a case and civil law suit against Michael David Barrett. Michael D. Barrett has been arrested by the FBI on the charges of stalking and making surreptitious nude videos of Erin Andrew. Michael D. Barrett, who is native of Chicago, has been charged of interstate stalking by the FBI. FBI arrested him on the airport when he was returning from Buffalo, N.Y. Michael D. Barrett made stealthy videos of Erin Andrews while she was undressed in her hotel rooms and tried to sell these videos to celebrity magazine TMZ. Michael filmed these videos through a door peephole of Erin’s hotel room. Michael rented the neighboring room and modified the door peephole of Erin’s room through which he filmed the videos. Seven out of the eight videos were filmed while Erin was living in a hotel in Nashville in September 2008 while the eighth video is believed to be filmed in Milwauki in July 2008.
While Michael D. Barrett was trying to sell these video to TMZ, an employee at the magazine told the attorney of Erin Andrews about it. Several news channels and magazines published the pictures and snap shots of the video while covering the news. This negative publicity made Erin extremely worried about her career. She told Oprah Winfrey about her reaction on the circulation of these videos. She also mentioned that she will file a lawsuit against the person.
FBI has told the media that Michael will appear in U.S. District Court on Saturday morning.
