Escambia County School District has announced holidays for Monday and Tuesday in all Public schools as the Escambia County has declared a local state of emergency due to upcoming storm. The emergency was declared when the emergency operation centre in Escambia County forecasted a storm heading towards Escambia County.
Escambia County School District informed all the students, parents and teachers that all the public schools will remain closed on Monday and Tuesday. Staff members like Administrators, Maintenance staff and Professionals of the schools are advised to attend the school to get prepared for the emergency preparedness and response.
All the activities including extra-curricular activities which were planned on Monday or Tuesday have also been canceled by the Escambia County School District.
Superintendent of Escambia County School District was informed by the emergency operations centre about the upcoming Hurricane on Monday Morning and it was required to close the activities for the safety of the people of Escambia. The people of the Escambia are also advised to stay at their homes during these two days.
The Escambia County School District is the company which is controlling the management for 35 elementary schools in Escambia County, Florida in United States of America. The organization is also looking after the few specialized centers.
Sonya Daniel, The Public Information Manager of Emergency officials in Escambia County stated that the condition is getting worst, the wind is getting strong and the strong wind with rain will shape up in a tropical storm and the most important thing to do is to get ready for a storm.
