The winner of Survivor Africa, Ethan Zohn, has been diagnosed with Cancer once again. According to the latest reports, Ethan Zohn who underwent some more test earlier this month have been diagnosed with the presence of Cancer Cells in his body.
Ethan Zohn was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer called Hodgkin’s disease in April this year. He was treated with chemotherapy and apparently was quite healthy. Ethan shared his after-treatment reactions and experiences on his video diary at People.com where he wrote that he was doing quite well and even started running for miles without any sign of lethargy. Ethan had appointment this week with his doctor for an ‘after-chemotherapy examination’. Although the chemotherapy shrunken the mango-sized tumor in his body but this week’s PET and CAT tests showed that the cancer cells are re-growing in another place in his body. This re-growth, according to Ethan Zohn, is not good sign as it was very quick. Doctors have now suggested a stem cell replacement treatment which will take place in three stages.
Ethan Zohn is the winner of Survivor Africa and also appeared in the All Star Survivor. Ethan won a prize money of $ 1,000,000 from the finale’s of the reality show. Ethan is also a co-founder of Grassroot Soccer which is an organization to raise money from soccer leverages for HIV’AIDS prevention. Ethan Zohn has also worked as a reporter for soccer matches at ESPN and MSG Network. Ethan is currently associated with Fox Soccer Channel and People Magazine.
Ethan Zohn was awarded with Courage of the Conscience Award from Peace Abbey for his humanitarian work against HIV/AIDS.
