Founder of Special Olympics “Eunice Kennedy Shriver” died on Tuesday. She was a sister of President “John F. Kennedy”; who was 88-year-old. A source near to her family described that there it has not been decided yet regarding the Funeral Arrangements of Eunice Kennedy Shriver.
Eunice Kennedy Shriver was born on 10th of July, 1921 in Brookline, Massachusetts. Her parents were “Joseph P. and Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy”; who have 9 children and Eunice Kennedy Shriver was 5th child of them. Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy and John F. Kennedy emerged her as a founder of “Special Olympics”. The Special Olympics were started in 1962 as summer day in backyard of Shriver Camp. More than three million people from 170 nations with mental disabilities took part in 228 programs according to Special Olympics.
According to a statement released by the family of Eunice Kennedy Shriver in which they said:
“She was the light of our lives, a mother, wife, grandmother, sister and aunt who taught us by example and with passion what it means to live a faith-driven life of love and service to others”.
“For each of us, she often seemed to stop time itself — to run another Special Olympics Games, to visit us in our homes, to attend to her own mother, her sisters and brothers, and to sail, tell stories, and laugh and serve her friends”.
