Misfortune always comes silently but brings storm behind. South Carolina has faced a huge tragedy recently, when two F-16 crashed together, one wrecked fighter plane has been landed safely on the ground while other plane along with its pilot is still missing. The horrifying incident happened mid-air above the Atlantic Ocean nearly 50 miles off the coast. The F-16 planes set off from Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina.
An Air Force nighttime training was going, while the incident occurred, fighter planes were flying 19,000 feet above the ground when two of fighter planes turned towards a fatal event of crash, on Thursday. One of the pilots Capt. Lee Bryant succeeded in safe landing, with a noticeable damage to the aircraft, while Capt. Nicholas T. Giglio, a resident of New Jersey is still missing with the air-craft. He was flying nearly 30 miles northeast of Charleston, over the Atlantic Ocean.
Search efforts are ongoing and government officials and private search companies are trying hard to find the missing jet. These jets are one-seat aircraft that were partaking in 80-minutes routine training flight. The Commander of the 20th Fighter Wing, Col. Joe Guastella, said that the accident happened when the exercise was just going to finish at about 8:30 p.m. this crash was unexpected and it was raining at the time of crash.There were approximately 75 degrees water temperatures in the crash area and there is a chance of survival for at least 24 hours.
The Coast Guards, the Navy, Charleston Air Force Base and other agencies are doing an unconditionally unbelievable job of searching and rescue mission. It is still unclear that what happened to the air –craft.
