The No.1 placed Roger Federer proved to be at the top as he was at his best in US Open Semis, everything went frderer’s way even the short played between his legs.
The between the legs short is very difficult to play and it is quite similar to the flop short in tennis. Well if you want to plat it with perfection without difficulty, you have to be Roger Federer otherwise there is a very small percentage of the players who can play this short with confidence.
It was the big match on Sunday 13, September 2009, Men’s Single Semifinals of US Open 2009, Roger was facing Djokovic. The world number one got the grip on the match from the very beginning, he was excellent all the way up till the end in the final game he was one step ahead with 15-30 from Djokovic and was hoping to beat him to get into the finals of U.S. Open Grand Slam. Novak hot a drop short, Federer rush in and then Novak went for the lob, Roger again ran it down, hitting a between the legs short and captured the point. What a worth watching shot. It can be called the best short ever.
It is not happening in the US Open 2009 as Roger- Nadal final at the US Open remained to be a dream. Roger would be playing with Juan Martin who crushed Nadal in the other Semifinals.
