Finish line is in sight, was remarked by Max Baucus, chairman for the Finance Committee. He was addressing a press conference along with other senators and of course his supporters.
The finish line is evident on Health Care Reform Bill as Harry Reid has conquered last strong holds like Senator Ben Nelson. As Max commented that they are not the first to introduce such kind of reforms but they would be the first who succeeded in their efforts.
The finish line seems clearer as the restructured bill passed the 60-40 test for vote. Reid has announced an agreement for final vote tomorrow at 8 in the morning. Harry Reid has had given herself a finish line of passing the bill before Christmas holidays. The senate is in its 25th day of debate on the Health Care Reforms Bill. Therefore, the matter has crossed the boundary of “if” it is now in the grounds of “when.”
President Obama has delayed his plan to spend these holidays in Hawaii for the sake that there must not be a last minute hurdle in the senate.
Reid has requested his fellow senators to shun acrimony aside and come with some jolly spirit to vote for the bill. She did not forget to remind her colleagues that it is time to show peace and pleasure. Many of the senators are felling themselves frustrated for such a long senate session.
Harry Reid has defended her deals by emphasizing the truth that every senator has gained some portion of what were they looking and if they fail to comply that will be a poor show at their part.
