A fire in Carlton Tower Bangalore has left as many as nine people dead and the news comes as a shock to the citizens of the city. The fire started around four-thirty in the afternoon after an electrical circuit short circuited on the seventh floor producing sparks that eventually caught flame. The fire in Carlton Tower Bangalore caught rapidly and panicked some office workers just two stories below into jumping out of the building. That probably wasn’t something that can be considered the best solution for a situation like this for there is no way that a human can survive a five storey fall.
The fire fighters arrived to the fire in Carlton Tower Bangalore which is based on the old airport road of the city just in time to save almost all the occupants of the building but it is unfortunate to say that four people died of smoke inhalation while waiting to be rescued. As many, if not more, than fifty people have been injured by the fire and have been evacuated to the Manipal Hospital in the city. The hospital has opened a helpline for these injured people incase their family members want to confirm details about their loved one who might have been caught up in the fire in Carlton Tower Bangalore.
The total death toll has been counted as nine people with five of the deaths being of those who jumped out of the fifth floor. Apart from the deceased, a few are considered to be in a seriously critical condition at this stage.
