Again there will be Navy in its full form in the city as San Francisco is going to celebrate its annual fleet week. The Bay Area pays tribute and honors those brave soldiers of our nation’s Navy and Marine services. There is no need to tell San Francisco residents that when Fleet Week happens, because everyone in San Francisco knows about this colorful and dulcet event.
Almost 1 million people gathering in San Francisco, this weekend for Fleet Week 2009, a weekend long celebration of the heroic and valiant men and women in US armed forces.
The Blue Angels initiated flight practice on Thursday at five in the evening. These review flights will continue from 1 to 3pm on Friday for the preparation of the big shows on weekend. The Blue Angels perform at almost 35 places yearly and in each city where they go to perform, distinctive choreography is arranged to highlight the key points. Different flight exercises are presented. These maneuvers ranging from just feet above the ocean in the remarkable slope to Alcatraz, then up to 15,000 feet in the sky at fast speeds of about 120 mph. This tremendous practice of high flight is worth seeing. Safety has a great significance for this squadron. These marvelous flights are the paramount opportunity for the pilots to train themselves with the region and any hindrances, artificial or natural, in their flight track.
The practice will come with its full worth with air shows and performances by the Blue Angels on the last two days of week at 12:30 to 4:00 p.m on both days.
The remarkable thing about the show is that it can be seen from most locations throughout The City for free. Everyone can choose their favorite watch-points and every viewpoint offers something diverse for the audiences.There is a choice of viewing event by staying home roof or by walking or biking to some favorite park.
Those people wishing for a first row waterfront vision are said welcome to head down to Fisherman’s Wharf and to pay $30 for first-class box seats. Tourists and residents can face traffic violence and parking problems due to over rush.
