Floyd Mayweather has returned to the ring after a short break. He was last seen inside the ring against Manuel Marquez in December 2007. Everyone n the boxing world is expecting him to have next fight against Manny Pacquiao. And why shouldn’t he? A fight against Manny Pacquiao would win him a chance of getting tremendous media attention (which frankly he needs the most after his short-tem retirement).
Manny Pacquiao has reaffirmed his claim to be the best pound-for-pound boxer after winning his fight against Cotto. Pacquiao has fought with and beaten big names like Oscar de la Hoya, Cotto and Ricky Hatton, and have cemented his claim to be the best fighter. Manny Pacquiao has not been beaten by anyone in last 12 months. If Floyd Mayweather wins a fight against him, he will rise and shine in the boxing world once again. Even Manny Pacquiao fans wants to see him fighting against Floyd Mayweather as he is the one Manny has never beaten. Manny Pacquiao’s coach Freddie Roach says in an interview that the world wants to see the two against each other in the ring. Floyd Mayweather’s inactivity in the boxing world (due to his short-term retirement) has cost him his top ranking in pound-for-pound fighting and a fight with Pacquiao can bring the win him back his title.
Manny Pacquiao has refused to comment about his future plans about any fights and opponents. He said in an interview after the fight with Cotto that he would like spend some time with his family to relax first.
