Updated news from Fort Hood Texas say that there is only person involved in the shooting, contrary to the earlier reports that indicated that there may be two other men involved in the incident. Only Maj. Malik Nadal Hasan is believed to have undertaken the shooting at Fort Hood Texas. Also as the initial news became available from Fort Hood Texas, it was said that Maj. Hasan has been killed, however In a press conference, it was denied and reportedly Maj. Malik Nadal Hasan’s condition is not critical, he is alive and in military custody. The investigation into the Fort Hood Texas shooting is ongoing, and earlier it was reported that a female civilian officer, who opened first fires on the shooter has been killed, however officer as of now is in stable condition after undergoing a surgery. President Obama has vehemently condemned the event and forwarded his condolences to the families of effected personnel in specific and to the nearby community in general.
Fort Hood Texas shooter Maj. Malik nadal Hasan was a Vrginia Tech graduate. He was promoted to serve as a Major, during May this year. He is a psychiatrist and in charge of the recruits to be sent to perform their duties in Iraq. As he was about to be deployed to serve in Iraq himself, Maj. Malik Nadal Hasan opposed the decision. He even hired a military advocate to convince the authorities. He was also a victim of race discrimination and his cousin has said that he often complained of the reactions he is receiving for his ethnicity. Maj. Hasan is said to be of Palestinian origin.
