Some of the Fort Hood victims’ names have been released. American army is still shocked at the shooting incident which occurred this morning. An Army psychiatrist Maj. Nadal Malik Hasan went on a shooting spree in an army base at Fort Hood in Texas. The shooter started shooting his fellow soldiers who were queued up for final check-ups before their departure for Afghanistan. The shooter killed almost 12 people including one civilian. Although the identity of the victim is kept hidden, earlier reports on some news channels did revealed few of the victims’ names. The names of the following victims along with their injuries details have been revealed by Associated Press:
Mathew Cook who was shot in the abdomen and Amber Bahr were shot in the stomach but are now in stable condition. Another woman from Michigan told the press that her husband was also shot in the rampage but refused to tell further details. Keara Bono’s mother told the press that her daughter, of the army reserve, called her from hospital and told her that she (Bono) was shot in the back but is now in stable condition.
According to the reports, Maj. Hasan headed towards the Fort Hood base loaded with hand guns and opened fire at his fellow soldiers. Many soldiers were made victims of the shooting rampage. More than 30 soldiers were wounded while 12 were killed. The wounded soldiers were transferred immediately to hospitals all over the Texas. Army spokesmen have refused to disclose any details about the wounded or killed persons.
