All those who went to the UFC 111 match on Saturday night expecting a fierce battle between Frank Mir and Shane Carwin may have got the first bit of their expectation right but not the second as there was the element of fierce involved but to be able to call that a battle is not really how things work. Saturday night at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey saw more than seventeen thousand spectators gather round the small ring and cheer for a match that they were hoping would at least last more than a few minutes for I’m sure they paid a lot of money for it but then what happened left the audience as surprised as disappointed as the fight came to an end in the first round.
Now I really wanted to see the Frank Mir vs Shane Carwin video but I couldn’t make it to my television screen in time so I though I would try finding it online but then there’s no Frank Mir vs Shane Carwin video online so now even I’m disappointed. Carwin will now be progressing to the UFC 116 which is taking place in July on the weekend that everyone celebrates Independence Day. There had been a lot of hype about this match as Mir had been training and he even put on a bit of weight in preparation but then he wouldn’t have expected his fighting career to take such a plunge in such a short time. The Frank Mir vs Shane Carwin video might become available online in a few days or even a few hours but I wouldn’t pin my hopes on it.
