Is it a good matter or a bad matter to not interpret a show on Adult Swim? After an hr of badly drawn animation, strange racialism jokes and few truly horrible raps, I found like my mind had been freaked out. And ya, the “freak” jokes will carry on throughout the article.
Fast and somewhat funny, “Freaknik: The Musical” was more an apology for T-Pain to pattens many of his musical acquaintances to work in a project than anything additional. Far and away the most significant thing about the musical was the names behind the sounds, including the same Lil Wayne and Lil Jon but as well sporting A. Samberg, B.Hader, Bi. Boi and Kelis.
The thought behind the animated cartoon was simple: in Atlanta in the ’80′s and ’90′s, 1000s of college age youngsters, predominantly black, congregated in a saturnalian party. Music was implied. No matter, the plot was a group of black rappers get tangled in craziness and shenanigans on their effort to take back the Freaknik concert, with the help of T-Pain as The Ghost of Freaknik Past.
It found out a little when part of the work party visited a frat home of largely white dudes on the way to the Freaknik extravaganza. When the black boys flapped in, the frat boys instantly got them beers, clearly crazy. At last, the work party of rappers sort of revived the all Freaknik thing, as the Ghost of Freaknik Past stated that he was still not very sure. Unluckily, “Freaknik: The Musical” isn’t the means in which to do it.
