The autopsy report of Gabrielle Schoeneweis has been released. Gabrielle Schoeneweis, the wife of Scott Schoeneweis, ex pitcher for Arizona Diamondbacks was found dead in her home in May 2009. The report which is based upon the investigation team’s findings has revealed that Gabrielle Schoeneweis died of cocaine abuse accompanied with the anesthetic lidocaine. The report was released by an appellate court.
In the report, the court ruled out that the wife of the former pitcher died because of taking an overdose of cocaine and her overdosage might have caused harm to other person. The name of the other person has not been revealed in the investigation report. The ruling was made by three-panel judge who declared that it is in the public interest to reveal the cause of the death. Earlier, an appeal was filed by Scott Schoeneweis in which he asked the court to seal the death certificate her wife and not to reveal the causes of her death for privacy concerns. The court sais that before making the ruling they had to weigh whether public interest is more important than privacy or not and decided to make it public to help similar cases.
