G.I. Joe: Resolute series was announced to be featured in the first quarter of 2009 is here now and has grown in to a more mature adult series. Yes I am referring to the new G.I. Joe: Resolute animated shorts due to air on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. Resolute was announced at the Hasbro panel during the 2008 G.I. Joe convention and today Hasbro told the press that G.I. Joe: Resolute is an adult fan based animated mini-series and will be broadcast on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim as well as online not only that they are planning to launch a toy line too.
The cartoon will have a more serious character equal to how one may remember the G.I. Joe comics was from Marvel Comics.
The story is written by noted comic book author Warren Ellis, produced by Sam Register and directed by Joaquim De Santos. Character designs are by comic book artist Dave Johnson. This series film has been rated as PG-13 cartoon. The more adult stories will be meant to request to the fans of the series from 80s and will focus on the more iconic characters from that generation.
We constantly made the squabble around here that G.I. Joe would by no means be made because the old school fans all appear certain that it had to be Rated R and as we all know that Hasbro would not allow a feature film to be made not including the prospect to sell toys based on it and as we speak I already mentioned above that they already have the plans to launch a toy line.
The animated replica combat clips were shown the same way, and were very popular. Fan response was so strong that it generates into a second season of mini clips and unavoidably into a CG Animated series. Decided they were all focus at a younger demographic, but if there is a big enough fan reaction to these mini clips it could turn into a regular series.
The G.I. Joe: Resolute cartoon was innately announced to be a series of 10 five-minute episode be capped off by a 10-minute finale but if they get the response well there will be more coming.
