“With a face like that, she doesn’t need a name” is one of my favorite comments about Angelina Jolie. The comment is from 1998 Romantic movie Gia. I have always been convinced of Angelin Joli’s talent and Gia is just another proof of that. With a little room to bring creativity to the character, she has performed absolutely well besides I really loved the story. Based on the real story of America’s first super model Gia the film depicts what loneliness could do to a person.
Gia had high ambitions of becoming a model. In her quest she shifted from Philadelphia to New York. She became the heart throb of modeling industry. Wilhemina Models was among the agencies’ that wanted Gina to work for them. Yet in the heart of hearts she was a lonely little girl in search of protection, safety and true love. God has created a strange universe, the fame does bring a lot of fans but not a single true friend. In her quest she became attracted to a make – up girl named Linda. She had also started experimenting with drugs that led her to cocaine addiction. Perhaps the cocaine was not enough to lessen her loneliness, she started injecting heroin. And in between the drugs she had started physical relations with Linda. Linda warned her many times and eventually she agreed to get medical help for her drug addiction.
She won her war with drugs but lost her fate against death. She had been infected with AIDS.
Gia was JUST 26 at the time of her DEATH.
