Glenn miller was a Instrumentalist in the swing music era. He was one of the best jazz music composer in the late 1930s.He was born in the state of Iowa on 1st march 1904.He had his own Glenn miller orchestra. He graduated from high school in 1921. After high school he decided to become a musician. He went to the University of Colorado but didn’t complete his study and left. He used to make an earning by working on temporary basis in any musical group.
He had 2 sons and was married to Helen Burger. He also worked for a movie in 1935 as a member of the Orchestra in The Big Broadcast. He founded his jazz band in 1937. He started to get appearances in movies and in 1941 he appeared in a 20th century film Sun Valley. His most popular albums include Tuxedo Junction, Little Brown, American patrol and in the mood.
He decided to join the civil war in 1941. He was rejected by the navy and joined the army he played in the army as a bandleader. He served the army Air force and formed a marching band. There were many rumors about the missing of Glenn miller during the civil war. It was reported that he was flying from Bedfordshire to Paris when his plane disappeared. An internal officer said that Glenn miller was sent by the United States Government on a covert mission to convince German to end the war and was killed in Paris. The Glenn miller Orchestra will be performing on the twenty-third of March in Terre Haute led by Larry Brien.
