Broken heart the producer Barney Hopkins has everything except finances to stage the show. Polly has a friend in the neighborhood Brad, who is a musician. Barney contacts the musician to give the music for the show. Brad not only goes on to give the music but also provides the finances for the play to be staged. Polly Carol Trixie and Fay are central to the play. They are basically the ones who are searching gold.
Brad despite his talents is very much stage shy. The fate plays its role and Brad has to perform on the opening night of the show. It turns out that Brad comes from a rich family and his family does not approve of him performing on the stage. The family sends his brother and family lawyer to bring him back. As it is discovered that he is in love with Polly, the first thing that Brad’s brother Lawrence has to do is to end the relationship. In his haste Lawrence takes Carol for Polly.
