Google Chat better known as iTalk or Google Talk® is an online chat application which is provided by the company Google to anyone who would care to download it. It can be compared to the online Messenger from MSN or the Yahoo Chat as all of these applications have similar functions. Google Chat started out as a side panel in the normal Google in-box of mailing site but then the proper skin and application was compiled and brought into one application which could be downloaded of the internet.
All the modern chatting applications have the video option where the users can see themselves while talking to each but this is a relatively new development for Google Chat whereas it was available on MSN some years ago. Then there is always Skype which is all about video to video conversations and then if you feel like it you can also send an instant message.
The search for this might be for those who are looking for the sites to download it for it would be very rare for someone to not know what the application is about. There are so many chat applications on the internet nowadays but there are only three or four which have made it big to gain most of the market share and the Google application is one of them. Then there is the Facebook chat and the MSN chat which are next in line when it comes to popularity. There was a time when IMRC was the only place one could chat to others on the internet but that time has long since gone.
