The 52nd Grammy Awards 2010 ceremony will be held tonight at “Staples Center” in “Los Angeles”. The star studded event will be live telecast on CBS. In total 109 Grammies will be awarded 99 of them will be awarded in a “pre-telecast session”.
The female R&B singer Beyonce is distinguished with 10 nominations followed by “Taylor Swift” with 8 and Lady Gaga with 5 nominations respectively.
The Grammy awards 2010 features a tribute to late “Michael Jackson” by playing his “Earth song” in a 3-D mini movie. Jackson’s two kids will receive a “life time achievement award” for their late father. This will be their first public appearance after the memorial service of Jackson. A special segment of the Grammy awards 2010 is for “fundraising for the Haiti”. Earlier “The MusiCares Person of the year award” for 2020 has been received by “Niel Young” for his humanitarian work.
Most probably Lady Gaga “the dead lady” as rumored a couple of days ago will give the opening performance. Another important performance is a duet song “Bridge over troubled water” by “Mary J. Blige” and “Andrea Bocelli”. The “Bridge over troubled water” will sold on “iTunes/Target” and the money will go to the Red Cross for the relief work in Haiti.
The most looked upon category is the “Record of the year award” for which “Hallo by Beyonce”, “I Gotta feeling by Black eyed peas”, “Poker face by Lady Gaga”; “You belong with me by Taylor Swift” are the contenders. Have you made any Guesses?
