The music’s biggest awards nominations have been announced in a special television show ceremony. The nominations for Grammy Awards 2010 were announced in small ceremony which was held in downtown club Nokia. Black Eyes Peas was one of the big names who performed at the nominations ceremony while the emerging talents were also given chances to come out on the big stage. Yes, we are talking about Nick Jonas. Now who got nominated and who missed it, who surprised us and who was snubbed? Here’s a list of the Grammy 2010 nominations:
The dancing diva Beyonce garnered 10 nominations for different categories and was the only artist with the highest number of nominations. Beyonce was also nominated for the Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Grammy Song of the Year. The other artists who got nominated for multiple Grammys include Black Eyes Peas and Taylor Swift. Both the artists were nominated for Album of the Year and Record of the Year including other nominations.
Some of the nominations disappointed music lovers. 2009 was a great year for music as many new artists, new faces, and new sounds emerged and none of them were given any spot in the nominations. Susan Boyle, for instance, actually deserved a nomination. If not for any other category, her debut album should be given a place in the Album of the Year nominations. But we were disappointed to see how music’s biggest award snubs some of the greatest artists. That said, the ceremony itself was simple and very well organized. The performances by Nick Jonas, Black Eyes Peas, Sugarland, and an excellent tribute to Michael Jackson by Maxwell actually made the ceremony more entertaining than ever.
