Grand Teton is a sky-high mountain with the height of 13,770 feet (4,195 m). Grand Teton is the second highest peak in the state of Wyoming, USA. The Snake River goes on to touché this mighty mountain. The mountain offers an eye-catching view of its striking and fabulous structure.
The name “Tetons” primitively was derived from French word “tétons” that means femininity or feminine beauty but according to historians the name is given to this mountain mistakenly as its structure, its height and pride doesn’t have any resemblance toward soft, stylish feminine qualities. Anyhow the mountain has gotten the name Grand Teton.
Grand Teton National Park is located here just beside the Grand Teton Mountain. This park is named after this Mountain and is assumed as a famous and most favorite place for tourists because it’s not just a park, if you go to visit, you can enjoy river prospect that is known as snake river for its snake like structure, a majesty mountain view with the second highest peak of the region, several streams and glaciers and a plenty of natural scenery with its impressiveness.
The Grand Teton is also an inspiration for those who love to explore and climb the highest and classic routes. Grand Teton is a conventionally high-altitude peak with the pride that a national park was titled after it. Climbers have been trying to conquer “The Grand” for above 100 years and tours from the world are still proceeding. Nathaniel Langford and James Stevenson were first to climb the mountain 25 years ago.
