November 05, Happy Guy Fawkes Day, the day doesn’t belong to sweet memories; it was day of a terrible attempt to blow up the parliament of United Kingdom by Guy Fawkes a catholic back in 1605.
This shows that terrorism did not started from the region held responsible nowadays “ASIA”. The idea of extremisms and terrorists clearly belongs to Englishmen. It was the time when so called terrorists, the Muslims were no way near to the region of US and UK. The idea of terrorism and extremism had been transported to Asian region.
The above statement might be disagreed by many but this is a bitter truth.
Guy Fawkes was the man, who made a plan with his accomplices and caught just before execution of the plan to blow-up the British parliament. He had the intentions to blow up the building with all the intellectuals including the royal family and the KING himself. But fortunately the suicide attempt was failed due to Guy Fawkes’s own accomplice’s mistake.
It wasn’t only planned by the Guy Fawkes, other conspirators were also involved and one of the members informed his friend though a letter to stay away from the parliament building as he knew what was going to happen that night. The letter was caught by the authorities and they found Guy in the basement while he was getting ready to make history.
Guy Fawkes was taken into custody and was investigated to catch other conspirators, he was severely tortured for that matter and finally authorities executed him in January 1606.
Fawkes was converted catholic from Protestant. In those days Catholics were having quite a tough time in England. He had the intention to bring a change through revolution to provide equal acknowledgment to the Catholics, it was then that he decided to blow up the English parliament.
The day has been celebrated by making bone fires and fireworks. So the England has something to cheer about after the plan failed.
