Initially playing in the position of fullback, Hacksaw Reynolds, shifted to the position of linebacker. Hacksaw Reynolds, originally named Jack Reynolds by his parents, was born on the twenty-second day of November in the year 1947. His career started when he was selected by the 1970 National Football League Draft to play for the Los Angeles Rams. The draft took place on the 27th and the 28th of January in the annum of 1970.
Hacksaw Reynolds was born in the city of Cincinnati in the state of Ohio and is remembered to have worn the number sixty-four for the entire duration of his career. He played for a total amount of eleven years for the Los Angeles Rams before shifting teams in 1981 to go and play for the San Francisco 49ers, a team better known by the name ‘Niners.’ His first Super Bowl victory came with the Niners in the annum 1982 when they won the Super Bowl XVI from the Cincinnati Bengals by five points with the final score being 26 to 21 for the Niners. His second Super Bowl victory came just three years later in 1985 in the month of January when the Nines defeated the Miami Dolphins in the finals with a score of 38 to 16.
Hacksaw Reynolds was given the title ‘Hacksaw’ after he chopped a 1953 Chevrolet into two halves after losing from Ole Miss with a humiliating defeat of 38 to Zero. In a move of sheer depression, Hacksaw Reynolds took a hacksaw and cut the Bel Air into two halves with intentions to convert it into a trailer for the jeep he had recently bought. Though the two halves went missing when he returned with his friends, his name remained the same.
