Philadelphia Eagles is making some noticeable changes in the team for coming up matches. According to the reports, Eagles have released Hank Baskett to add Vick in its 53-man roster. Hank Basket was previously appointed on the position of wide receiver in the team. Michael Vick was not included in the 53-man roster of Philadelphia Eagles earlier and was exempted but was added this Tuesday after releasing Hank Baskett. The Eagles have been trying to make deal with Hank Baskett for quite a long time. Eagles have mentioned that Hank Baskett is dispensable for the team.
Hank Baskett was one of the seven wide receivers of Eagles 53-man roster for Week 1. Speculations were made about the future of Baskett with Eagles when they included Jeremy Maclin and Brandon Gibson in the team as Baskett became expendable. Baskett had 72 passes for 1052 yards with six TDs in 48 games for Eagles. Hank Baskett made a career-best last season with 33 passes and 3 Touchdowns for 440 yards.
According to the reports, Hank Baskett commented on his release and said that with this release he has got an opportunity to show his potential in NFL. He also said that he is hopeful of making contract with a new team in near future.
After the release of Hank Baskett, Philadelphia Eagles is left with eight wide receivers.
