The famous meteorologist Harry Wappler from the KIRO TV was reported dead on Wednesday. He was born in 1937 who graduated from the Northwestern University in speech and debate. He also attended Yale University for his master’s degree. He started his professional career with KIRO & In 1969.He nicknamed as a weatherman at the KIRO television. The famous weather broadcaster died at the age of twenty three at the Overlake Hospital Medical Center. Harry Wappler died due to a stroke on Tuesday night and eventually couldn’t last for long. He started his career with KIRO as an editorial writer and eventually started as a weather broadcaster when the general manager at the television station gave him a chance to perform a live weather broadcast. A time came when he left KIRO and joined WNBC for around three years, but later decided to return to KIRO. He retired from KIRO television in 2002 and served at KIRO for three long decades. The Vice president and general manager at the at KIRO said that he was the only broadcaster who had made such a contribution for the television industry.
It was a great shock to listen about the death of Harry Wappler and now his son acts the duties of his father. Harry Wappler was given a one hour tribute at the time of his retirement on the KIRO television where he was honored his life time achievement. In 1996 he was awarded with the National Academy of Television Arts and Science Silver Circle award.
