The movie “Here Comes the Groom” is a very interesting movie which involves a conflict between two men over a woman. The movie was released in 1951 and we can call it as “romantic comedy”. The movie was produced by Frank Capra. The plot of the story revolves around the comic conflict between two men, one is the recent fiancé (Wilber Stanley) and the other is her ex-fiancé (Pete). The story starts with Pete who is a news reporter and works for an orphanage house. He is very humane and kind-hearted guy with a lot of sympathies for orphan children. He uses his artistic and musical talent to persuade parents to adopt children. His fiancé (Emmadel) meets him in dream and scolds him for leaving her and tells him that they could have many such children. When he gets up, he decides to revive his relations with her abandoned fiancé and to adopt two orphans who are brother and sister (Bobby and Suzi). He goes back to Boston along with the two adopted children to marry Emmadel. When they reach there, he comes to know that she has already been engaged to another rich man (Wilbur Stanlay). Now the law intervenes that the children can live with him only if he marries within five days. He brings the children to Emmadel’s house where she lives with her parents. Now the situation forces him to live within her ex-fiancé’s close proximity. Now a mutually “agreed upon” competition” continues between Wilbur and Pete to win over the heart of Emmadel. Emmadel is degraded by a family member of Wilber. Pete was then arrested by the police for keeping the children and hand-cuffed. But Pete already had sown the seeds of revival in the hearts of Emmadel. Consequently, Wilber gives up and even forces Pete and Emmadel to marry. Pete and Emma go for a honey moon along with the adopted children.
