Herniated disc is a disease in which the shock absorbers between the vertebrae (the bones which form Spine) get inflexible. The human body is one of the most divine, artistic, complex and perfect machines of God have created. This disease can be caused by back injury, spine damage, and mostly by the age factor. It has been observed that the discs get harder up to 30% even in the age of 30.
The spine consists of small bones and the gap between bones is cushioned by fluffy, soft and elastic discs. The discs work like a shock absorber for the spine. With the passage of time the discs gets harder and softness reduces which cause the discs to rupture or bulge. This is called Herniated Disc or ruptured disc.
When the discs gets swell, it covers the outer area of the bone and get out of its main position. The spinal cord and the spinal nerves travel along the spine. They do have a space gap but very small gap that can easily be covered by the swelling of disc. It simply cause disturbance to the spinal cord and spinal nerves by pushing and pinching them on the way through.
The pinch and push to the spinal cord and compressed nerves by bugle discs can cause the disturbance in the working and communication though nerves. It simply causes pain and the abnormal delivery of massages to the wrong destinations. Weakness can be another symptom of Herniated Disc.
It can be treated easily by doing rest in case of severe pain, otherwise keep yourself active, a regular walk can also helps to cure as well. A warm massage would also be good, the exercises can help more to make the things easy for your spinal cord and nerves.
