John F. Kennedy named the Presidential yacht as “Honey Fitz Yacht”, after being elected as President of the United States of America; he named the yacht “Honey Fits Yacht” in honour of his dearest grandfather. Englishmen talk a lot about fair play but they are very mean in giving fair play to any except. There was a lot of conversing about the negativity circling the effort. Over 200 important and outstanding gentlemen from Boston and Revere attended and there were best wishes and congratulations from numerous different people together with EX-Boston Mayor John Honey Fitz Fitzgerald between others.
In November 2008 a vast gathering of seniors was held in Mahoneys honour at the Cherry Island yacht Club on Revere Beach. John F. Kennedy’s Grandfather John f. Honey Fitz and his wife Mary Josephine Hannon were a well-known figure in Boston. Honey Fitz was the first Irish migrant to be named Mayor of Boston back in 1906; he threw the first pitch at the opening match if Red Sox back in 1912.
Honey Fitz was nominated as the mayor of Boston twice once from 1906to 1907 and then again in 1910 to 1914. He was a great man and served his country well.
