Houska Castle is a “Gothic Castle” from early period. Houska Castle is situated in the “Czech Republic”, forty seven kilometer north of Prague. It is the oldest one Castle in the region which was built by “Ottokar II of Bohemia” in between the period of 1253 to 1278. Houska Castle became a significant residence. Afterwards Houska Castle passes among the hands of “Aristocracy” in which Castle remained in anticipation of 1924 (the times of “First Republic”). In this period of time, Houska Castle is the most preserved castle among other castles.
Houska Castle was also highlighted on an episode of “Ghost Hunters International”, this episode aired on 22nd of July, 2009 on “SyFy”. The Houska Castle is similar to a cube from inside, it has no exterior military protection and there is no apparent cause for the castle to be there, but tradition is that the Houska Castle is made to keep things in but not to keep them out.
It is thought that beneath the floor of dungeon is an apparently bottomless hole in the ground which is said to be one of the gates of “Hell”. In this respect, once Houska Castle was occupied by “Nazi Germany” and probably he also did a few experiments in there.
