HP G60 549DX comes with Windows 7 X64 Home Premium, Microsoft’s Latest Operating System. Microsoft has advertised the O.S as most efficient to the date. However it is yet to see how it is received by the public. Built in HP Recovery console makes the laptop more secure and safe. The laptop has 6 cells Li-ion battery. HP is clear loser here. At the price tag of $ 500 ~ 530 you can buy a Dell with 24 hours battery life. Altec Lansing sound is good. The laptop weighs 6.6 pounds.
Though HP has tried to cram everything in the laptop, to me the machine looks un-impressive. Except Windows 7 there is nothing new with the laptop and if you ask me I would prefer XP over Win 7 a zillion times. To me it’s just like the launch of Vista; every brand of laptops came with the O.S and then every buyer who had bought those brands started complaining about Vista.
