HP G51 321NR is 15.6” notebook with HDMI port making it possible to watch movies and photographs on HDTV in life like details. The numeric pad helps data entry at faster pace. The machine’s outer surface has glossy finish making it look good. With LightScribe you can easily make CDs and DVDs. HP G61 321NR comes with Windows 7 Home Premium preinstalled. The processor in the machine is AMD Athlon Dual Core with 2 Gigs speed. Almost 4GBs of RAM. Storage capacity of the notebook is 160GBs. The screen employs HP’s BrightScreen Technology. To connect the machine to LAN, it has built in 10/100 Base T Ethernet card. Comes with mobile memory card readers to easily download the pictures and documents to your system. Audio of the Laptop is ALTEC Lansing.
Antivirus in the machine is Symantec Norton, but only a trial version that is valid for 60 days. Similarly the Microsoft Office – student edition is only an evaluation version.
The machine comes with a 1 year warranty. Having used laptops from each and every top brand I am very careful about recommending an HP machine. HP is trying to fit somewhere between Dell and Sony and has always failed in the effort. With more and more college professors suggesting Dell Machines to their students, HP really has no place to stand. Frankly speaking AMD is definitely doing its best but it has yet to produce a processor that matches the functionality of Intel. The price tag of $300 is only thing to consider it but even with that I won’t recommend it.
