Ida Ljungquist was named by Hug Hefner as the 50th Annual Playmate of the Year 2009 in a ceremony held at the Palms Casino Resort L.A over this weekend. Hugh Hefner himself articulated a “wow” as he greeted her in the family.
Ida Ljungqvist becomes the first African-European to be featured as Playmate for of the year in the magazine. Hug Hefner said that Ida Ljungquist a 27 year old Swedish-African is stunning beauty and she is “truly unique.”
Miss March 2008 for Playboy Ida Ljungqvist has Tanzanian ethnicity and her father is a Swedish she traveled all across the world as her father was working for UNICEF. Ida can speak three languages English, Swahili and Swedish.
Ida Ljungqvist dedicating the honor to her late mother and admitted that “I have a lot of over-achiever in me so I am self-critical. But after I met Hug and saw how beautifully they portray women I was really excited. This experience has inspired me to broaden my horizons, to take chances in life”.
Ida also said that this was never her dream and at first she got scared and almost turned downed the offer she said she did not even know what Playboy was at first.
Ida at first appeared on the cover of the Playboy in the March of last year talking to the media she said that at first when she told her parents that she is going to pose nude for the magazine her parents were barely overwhelmed by the thought she said “My mother didn’t speak to me for a month”.
She also said that after watching her first pictorial her parents realized that it is beautiful work.
Ida Ljungqvist is 27 years old and love acting she hope that after becoming a Playmate the doors to her fortune might open as well. She also said that from now on she will not lose her cloths for the pictures any more.
