As Saint Patrick’s day came yesterday a majority of you were drinking out of traditional celebrations while exactly nine of you in the state of Illinois were drinking because you had hit the jackpot on the Illinois lottery. Last month on the eighteenth day of February the Illinois lottery organization initiated a scheme that would bring a lot of money to a lot of people. A total of five-hundred-thousand tickets were printed out with each one having its own unique number that was given to it when it was printed. The catch was, and the only catch there was to it, that each ticket cost twenty dollars and no more than five-hundred-thousand would be sold.
Yesterday on Saint Patrick’s day the numbers for the five-hundred and nine winners were posted on the official Illinois lottery site and four of the lucky winners who each one a million dollars had the numbers which go as: 0024598, 0079465, 0315367 and 0380890. There will be a lot of money going around in the sate of Illinois as the lottery winners realize what exactly they have won. The five winners for the hundred-thousand dollar cash prize included two residents of Chicago, one from Lynwood, another from Somonauk and the final fifth winner from Creve Coeur.
The Illinois lottery collected a total of ten million dollars from the sales of the lottery tickets and a total of four point six million dollars were given out in cash prizes which included four million for the four tickets of a million dollars, five-hundred-thousand for the five winners of the hundred thousand dollar cash prize and a another hundred thousand for the hundred winners of the thousand dollar cash prize.
