The most disappointing news about an involuntary manslaughter relating an officer happened on the first day of the starting of the year 2009. Johannes Mehserle was alleged to the killing of the victim Oscar Grant. Johannes Mehserle was an officer of the Bay Area Rapid Transit where the 22 year old Oscar Grant was killed by him. This tragedy was an intentional case by the officer. This act of involuntary manslaughter had been proven by the court of Los Angeles and his punishment for this case will be given him on the 6th of August 2010. Oscar Grant’s family was totally disappointed on his death by an officer. Johannes Mehserle who was in charge of the bay area rapid transit that night shot Oscar in the back and the next day gave him the news that Oscar had died.
Many of the people who were present at the station made a video and some of them took pictures of the whole scene. All these proves were published on the internet. The case this involuntary manslaughter was carried out to the court of Los Angeles from Oakland as there were some scenes of public violence in Oakland. The people were angry on Mehserle and if he was not given sentence to jail the people will continue to make violence. The decision for the case of Johannes Mehserle will be taken soon and it is hoped that he will be given an imprisonment of more than four years. Johannes will pay for the act of involuntary manslaughter he had made.
