Iowa DOT has published a road map on its site which gives a detailed outlook about the road conditions. The map provides information about the roads which are wet or covered with snow. It also gives information about the roads which have been closed due to bad conditions. According to the most recent update, Iowa interstate 35, Interstate 80, Interstate 235, US 6, US 30, and US 65 highways are completely covered with snow. The road conditions on several other highways are also not favorable for driving as they are covered with a mixture of ice and slush. Iowa DOT issues continuous updates about roads and advises the road travelers to check its website before making a journey. On Thanksgiving, Iowa DOT published warnings about careful driving as the holiday season has had the most number of accidents over the decade. Iowa state is seeing the season’s first heavy snow storm this week.
