The techies have welcomed the much hyped Apple ipad rather coldly. The apple creation might be related as ipad a disappointment. The audience at the launch ceremony heard the unveiling speech in silence the applauding claps were missing. Steve Jobs had praised the new creation to be better than the laptops and the mobiles but it is without flash that does not cater to the needs of users. The flash enabled games websites and movies cannot be played on ipad. The tech market also responded negatively and the shares took a downward path. The users are not ready to open their wallets for a device that does not replace the mobile or the laptop.
What else makes ipad a disappointment is the fact that AT&T has a monopolistic hold over 3G deals. The absence of USB ports is another drawback. Users won’t be able to transfer data or pictures via USB. An additional adapter will be needed to plug in camera or USB. Users don’t like the messy adapters anymore.
No multi tasking is perhaps the worst feature. In the absence of multi tasking only fools can dream that ipad will replace the notebooks.
The absence of a camera at front or back yet another bad point makes ipad a disappointment because video chats or conferencing will not be possible.
So the drawbacks are outnumbering the advantages. We hope that the cold response of buyers will force the Apple engineers to make it better. So it is better to wait for the next edition in the times of financial crunch.
