The episode is titled as “The Great recession”. The episode proved to be another good episode in the series, packed with reality which was presented in real hilarious manner. The episode is about the practical side of the economic downturn and teaches a lesson or two as it progressed. The show started with gang at work on paddy. Frank hangs himself in the paddy as it is generating no income. Moreover he invests in a much hyped Ponzi scheme and loses. The gang realizes that the paddy has become a white elephant of its own kind. The reason is soon discovered as nobody is interested to work on the paddy except of course Charlie.
Charlie’s work has its own pros and cons. He considers burning trash a great service to community mainly because the fume of smoke that rises would go into the sky and form stars and turning on a sign that he thinks, says Coors instead it comes out to be closed sign. Dee is decided to be kicked off as she never seems to show any productivity at the farm.
The plans by Mac and Dennis are all set to roll off to salvage the economy. The panacea is a “Self Sustaining Economy”. A new currency would be printed and given to the population. It would be used at the bar. In the process they print a really colorful currency which consumes all the original money. The scheme is failed as Dennis confronts his biggest challenge. He doesn’t know how the economy works.
Frank and Dee are off to a new business of selling knives and vacuum cleaners. The best he could do was to cut his thumb really bad at which Dee uttered a shrill cry.
As the episode ended the Frank was given back the money he lost by the Government. The episode was not about how the end was it conceived, it was the matter episode contained.
