J.D. Hayworth the former Republican Member of United States House of Representatives and a radio talk show host has proclaimed to challenge Sen. John McCain for his senate seat. Hayworth has been a strong critic of John McCain since years and used to pass adverse comments about McCain in his talk show. He had occasionally aired his intention to contest against McCain.
John McCain is going to end his 4th term in senate. He was the Republican Presidential Nominee in the 2008 Elections.
J.D. Hayworth was born in North Carolina. He has a bachelor’s degree in political science and speech communication from North Carolina State University. He has served WFBC-TV as a sports broad caster from 1987-1994.
He was elected to the US House of Representatives in 1994. He served six terms in the house he was defeated by Harry Mitchell in 2006.
He joined Phoenix radio station as a host of Radio talk show in April 2007. He is known to be an outspoken person he brutally criticized Clinton and his administration. Haywoth was continuously criticizing McCain over his talk show so much so that McCain used the same radio to backfire. The lawyers of the parent company of channel warned Hayworth to stop grumbling about McCain or the coming Senate race but he opted to resign from the job.
So J.D. Hayworth vs. John McCain is going to be interesting. McCain is a seasoned and established politician while Hayworth has to make his mark in National politics. Let’s see who gets nominated for the next elections.
